Things have been quite busy since my last log. Yes, i was hurt but God took care of me and kept me busy. That's me with my groupmates at a convention in PICC. It was tiring but fun. It was a bit of a drag catering to someone's insecurities but one should not let stuff like that keep you from having fun. Im glad my Aunt was there to help. It is interesting to note how many pediatricians are women ;).
Ive also been spending quite a bit with my family. Here's a picture of my dad and i. Then some with my sister but she just cant seem to figure out how she should fix her face for the camera. These were taken when my grand uncle came over and we had a reason to eat out. Yeah, i haven't been practicing karate in 2 weeks and i've been eating a lot. Didn't gain back any of the 3 inches i lost though. I know i do have to go exercise again.
Ive had a lot of fun lately. I've finished my time in the Air Force General Hospital. We ended it with a Grand Duty where we had a blast partying in the conference room. The baby is Luis. The nephew of a friend who we visited. He was cranky when we got there but i found his 'kiliti' and got him to laugh and eventually sleep. True, he woke up later and cried again but that was because i put him down. I got to spend time with Nadia who was leaving for the states and might not get to see ever again. Enjoyed a cool private concert with Becca when she played for Zoe and me. Then the infamous gimmickero group 5 of AFGH went to a workshop on Low Back Pain in Belleview, Alabang sponsored by (Rofecoxib) Vioxx. It was fun, informative and very entertaining.
That evening, we had fellowship night. Dinner, Karaoke and games. I guess i really can get a bit competitive. We had an eating and drinking contest by teams. I was in the drinking group where we had to drink a whole bottle of island punch (juice and gin). I was with Josh and Jen while the other team was made up of 3 large men. We won but my tummy didnt recover until after an induced emesis ;). I guess the girls were all plastered too because they all went to sleep soon after they realized how long it would take before they will get their hands on the karaoke mic which was being hogged by this other doctor. It is Mothers day today. Still have to go get me a gift for my mom. Manny Pacquiao is still vying for the title. Cable tv is acting up but i didnt miss the ending yet. It is horribly hot and the rare drizzle only made it more humid.
God is good. Hope He takes care of the Philippines tomorrow when we go and elect a new set of leaders.
