I just got back about an hour ago from a vehicular accident. An FX swerved to cut me and in avoiding, i collided with another car. The damage included my right front wheel preventing me from driving the car home. I suddenly remembered that my insurance carrier, Malayan Insurance, gave me a sticker with a number to call in an emergency. I tried it before i called a tow truck. The phone was answered quickly and after some details were given the person called for an affiliated towing company and i was towed home after 30 min or so. The towing was free and the staff were very professional. They kept calling my cell to check the status while i was waiting. If my future children were to drive someday, i will make sure i get their insurance from Malayan Insurance. I would recommend them to everyone i know.

Had a busy day yesterday. Got me some ointment near UST, had lunch with my girl, went to Manila to have my digicam repaired and bought a TV. Its crazy how much more expensive it is to buy a cellphone than to get a TV. I got a 21 inch flat Sony with a subwoofer on top and yet it costs less than a decent high tech cellphone. Im not sure if it really is more expensive to make a cellphone than a tv. I got a cool deal on the TV though. 6 months 0% interest. At least it wont be such a big cash out.

We ate at Cena yesterday. We ordered Turtle pie and Lava cake. They were both very good. The turtle pie was sweeter while the Lava cake was more chocolatey. I initially thought that the servings were small but it was actually the perfect size. I didnt want any more after we finished it. We ordered coffee but during the dessert, water was the best to wash the mouth after a few bites. It is a little pricey but worth it.

My girlfriend has been raving about Max Brenner for so long so i finally gave in and went for a chocolate experience. What a let down! We ordered Truffle cake and an order of Big Chocolate Chunk Cookies or something similarly called. The Truffle cake was ok but nothing spectacular and the Cookies did not even taste good. It was like eating a small clump of flour. Crinkles sold anywhere tastes much better than that. I asked the waitress if they had anything to make the cookies taste better. They said if i got caramel or chocolate sauce, it would cost extra. We paid and left. The experience was horrible. You wont see me going back to that establishment ever.

An ignorant buffoon, hiding behind an anonymous email address of pinoyemailer@gmail.com, commented on why people would create nonsense websites. The thing is the internet will not be the way it is now if it werent for people making websites about anything and everything. What is nonsense to some might be valuable information to others. What is funny was that he was referring to websites containing information about his own country and one that has stuff about the cellphone he probably uses. I say people should continue to do what they want to do particularly on the internet because it is in that where cyberspace will continue to grow. Why would people create nonsense websites? Another answer is - because they can ;)
On a lighter note, i just found out that Figaro, the coffee company, is proudly Filipino owned. Hey! That's great aint it? Im usually game for supporting our fellow Filipinos. We need to do this to help our own to succeed in our home country. I've encountered too many instances of Crab Mentality to indulge in it. Next time you want to have coffee, go to Figaro. At least the money stays in the country.
