Bones S04e09

I just watched the 9th episode of season 4 of bones. In it, Seely Booth gave up his chance for glory to get his brother out of getting arrested. Later on, his friends told him to not step in too much because it keeps them from learning to take care of themselves. The brother, when told that he wont help out anymore if he gets into trouble from drinking too much took offense. It felt strange watching it because i made sacrifices for family too. When i said i would stop and take care of myself for a change, i got a bunch of crap for it. Demands for my time and energy kept coming. When i said no, people got offended and some people even thought that i was a loser for not being able to do things. They didnt know that i failed because i had more important things to do. Luckily i didnt mind because as far as i was concerned, i did what i had to do and i did it pretty well. Ultimately, i know if i did good or not. Sometimes, it just feels bad when people judge you with what little information they have.
